My first day I arrived at the Boys and Girls Club I was of course lost, but I was welcomed by the front table. Once I signed a volunteering form, I met with my mentor for a quick chat and he sent me away into a room full of rowdy children. Before they get into their stations for activities they have about an hour of homework time. Beginning to learn names I really get shocked by the material they have trouble with in curriculum.
